How Argon gas works
Argon gas can be used to fill the gap in between each pane of glass instead of air. This will give an even higher performing double-glazing.
Argon gas is a colourless, odourless, non-flammable, non – reactive, inert gas. When it fills the gap between each pane of glass in your double glazed unit it works by slowing down the convection inside the airspace. Argon gas is cost effective and works well with Low E coatings.
Advantages of having Argon Gas within your double glaze unit:
• |
Even greater energy savings. |
• |
Has the lowest U value. |
• |
Condensation reduction. |
• |
Improved insulation. |
• |
Cost effective. |
